What it means

See? Nobody Cares comes from the 1993 film Jurassic Park, in which the sloppy saboteur Dennis Nedry, played by Wayne Knight, meets corporate spy Dodgson at an outdoor cafe. When Dodgson nervously begs him not to use his name, Nedry stands and shouts Dodgson, we've got Dodgson here to the entire restaurant, then gestures at the indifferent crowd and delivers the verdict: see? Nobody cares. The two-panel macro was standardized in 2012, and it became the internet's cleanest way to deflate unearned self-importance. The caption structure is a big announcement on top and the crushing non-reaction below, perfect for humble brags, dramatic exits, and corporate news nobody asked for.
